Hi,

when i am using opendata set w_file for output encoding default.

i am getting 'error in opening file'

could help me on what is actual issue might be

May be one of the following -

1.Check if the file exist at the application server

2.The path provided is correct.

3. You have permission to read the file.

Check if you have authorization to access or create files on application server.(Check with your basis team).

If you are trying to create a file in a directory, check if the directory exists from AL11.

Hi,

OPEN DATA Sets -- For Uploading/Down loading fiels from Application server.

Please define a file path in your program and then use "OPEN DATASET L_FILE FOR OUTPUT ".

Then the O/P data will write to that file on application server.

Example:

*---opens application server file

OPEN DATASET L_FILE FOR OUTPUT IN BINARY MODE.

"encoding default.

" try here by putting in TEXT Mode if you are not suceeding with binary mode

IF SY-SUBRC = 0.

LOOP AT I_TAB1.

TRANSFER I_TAB1 TO L_FILE.

ENDLOOP.

*--- closes error file

CLOSE DATASET L_FILE.

ELSE.

ENDIF.
