In which sense Adobe PDF Forms are Interactive forms?

I want to know In which sense Adobe PDF Forms ( Forms created with SFP Tcode ) are Interactive forms?

Can anyone please explain me in clear?

If anyone adds the benifits of these forms when compare with scripts/smartforms, that will be a great help for me.

Forgetting the interactive bit for the time being (you must understand that interactivity is additional functionality), the benefit of Adobe PDF forms is that they are far easier, and therefore quicker, to develop than SAPScript and Smartforms. It's also pretty much an industry standard.

I developed a form, with no prior knowledge of tx SPF etc. or the form designer relatively quickly and easily, using only a basic tutorial to guide me from the SAP Professional Journal. The SAP supplied form was radically different from the user requirements, so it was a fairly major rewrite. Yet is was almost enjoyable. The design and development tools are streets ahead of Smartforms, and lightyears ahead of SAPScript. I'd say it almost is inituitive, once you get going.

To summarise: I like them!

The interactive part is that you can use these forms not only to display data, but also to collect it. It becomes part of the user interface. The user can type data into the form, which can then be processed within SAP.

I understand, though I've done no work in it, that you can also use the interactive functionality through ABAP Web Dynpro.

The advantage is that Adobe forms are familiar to users, so they don't need to learn yet another tool.

Through SPF you can create interactive and non-interactive forms. Not all forms created through SPF will be interactive - it depends how you design your forms.

Interactive means that the users can enter data into the form at runtime.

Think about government forms you have to fill in by pen. Wouldn't it be nice if you could instead have the form displayed on your screen, fill in the fields using a keyboard, then print the form off? That's the type of thing you can do with interactive forms.

If that doesn't answer your question, then I'm afraid I don't understand what information you are looking for.
