Hi Raja,

I have faced this issue but not with the binding in the task but it is if you change the Task Assignment to a different user. This is called as the 'Cindrella Principle' and as Ramki noted that the HR tables will be refreshed only in the midnight. But as far as my knowledge goes this happens only if you change the Organizational Structure or you change the Agent Assignment of the task. One more workaround is go to your inbox (SBWP) and in the menu go to Settings -> Workflow Settings -> Refresh Organinizational Environment. This has solved my problem always.

Regards,

Sudhi

Hi,

I am facing a serious issue in Workflows. It's BUFFER problem. Whatever changes I am doing are not getting updated in the buffer. Like if I make Binding changes to a task, these changes are not getting reflected in RUNTIME. We used to keep that WF aside and start testing next day. Then the expected results are coming.

Why is it so?

Is there any transaction which overcomes this problem,...

We already tried Synchronizing the BUFFER...But there is no effect.

Please help us out...Our development time is getting killed due to this issue.

Regards,

Raja Sekhar

Hi,

The buffers are refreshed at midnight by the system but it can be refreshed manually using transaction SWU_OBUF. Click on the refresh/execute icon a few times until you see the current time displayed. In fact you must do this everytime you make changes to WF objects before testing them. I also do it in the target client as soon as they are transported. Even this does not seem to work sometimes, in which case the only option is to wait for next day.

Cheers,

Ramki Maley.

Thanks sir,

I am using the Buffer Synchronization Transaction SWU_OBUF from last 2 days. But it doesnt make much difference. We got to wait till next day.

It's really bad waiting till next day halting our development for just due to this BUFFER Problem.

We hope SAP will provide a solution for this also very soon.

Regards,

Raja Sekhar.

Yah Sudhi,

But you know , When I tried to make a background task to foreground task the same problem persists i.e. you cannot see the EFFECT of this change immediately. You got to wait till next day for that background task to become foreground task. The same is with the reverse also. So for fixing one simple issue, we took 3 days. The issue is in BINDING. That we didnot realize till we made that BACKGROUND Task to FOREGROUND task on the first day. We waited till second day and kept a break-point in the BO and found that PERNR is not coming to CONTAINER. So we made the necessary changes and made it back to BACKGROUND TASK. The changes came into effect only on the third day.

It's like hell for us during the GO-LIVE time killing our whole development time.

Really I am suffering very seriously with this issue.

Regards,

Raja Sekhar.

Correct Ute,

I had tried all these options already. But these options are not always working. Log-off option is working only sometimes.
