regarding IDOC

hi guys,

Do we have any Functional module or table to list out the IDOC used in Customer system 46C.

Customer created addon IDOC has to be listed for modification during upgrade.How to fetch the IDOC used. Any suggestion please.

Hi,

Go to WE30 and give Z* and search you will get all IDOC types.

Need clarification. generally how will be the influence of IDOC by customer.

I assume, One of the way is creating Addon IDOC and using it.

what could be other possible ways customer could have used the IDOC.

Could you please clarify, whether standard IDOC will also be edited at purposes?

if so how to find out where and which standard IDOC is edited by customer

Hi Ambichan,

No stadard IDOC are generally not changed. you use the User-Exits or Extended those IDOCs. So no need to worry about them. And you should only check BD64 and see which distribution model is active and which IDOCs are used there and need to analyze them.

Hi Atish,

When customer understands that a standard IDOC can't satisfy their req. they will have to go with a custom IDOC which starts with Z.

Tcode: WE30 gives you the list of all standards and Extension IDOCs based on your selection of radio buttons. Even extension IDOC's starts with Z. You can always compare an extension IDOC with a standard IDOC which gives you the difference between them.

You can even get the IDOC related module or user exit using the Tcode. WE51.

From my idea there might be few cases where standard programs can be changed (which doesn't happens much) but for these changes they need to have an authorization from SAP and have to let them know about the change and why. Mostly they happen when a program is not working properly or so... Change needs an approval from SAP. But even these programs will have the same naming convention as standard. In attributes you can see who changed and when.

In you case i don't think they have edited standard IDOC. They might have created a new custom idoc.
