INVCON02 IDoc Extention

Hi,

I am trying to extend the INVCON02 IDoc. Below are the steps i just gone thr..

1. Segment Creation(WE31) with req.fields.

2. Attached created segment thr. Tcode - IDoc extention(WE30).

3. Attached extended IDoc to Basci thr. Tcode - WE82 along with message type 'INVCON'.

4. Run the process to trigger the IDoc.

5. But I couldn't find that Customer created SegmentCode thr TCode - WE05.

Do i need to do any thing else...?

Hi!

Do you add your segment programmatically to IDoc during outbound process?

Steps you've described only make system aware of IDoc extension. Custom segment itself and corresponding data have to be added to IDoc - in your program if you build IDoc from scratch or in appropriate user exit during standard IDoc buildup process.

Hi Maxim,

Initially, i just want to see at least empty segment. Then i will populate the respective fields using enhancement. When i run the complete process, even i couldn't see that extended segement in the generated IDoc.

What i need to do still to get the empty segment in the IDoc..??

Hi,

You need to populate data in the new segment through a BADI or User Exit in order to view this in WE05, as it will show the segments with data in it.

Hi!

In order to see your custom empty segment you still have to add this segment (empty segment is a segment too) to IDoc during generation. System doesn't include segments by default.

You will not see any segments(even SAP standard ones) if there is no data on them. So you will need to fill your segment in an user exit. Look in the system for IDOCINVCON for the corresponding inbound and outbound function modules. Almost every one of those IDOC processing function modules has user exits. So, pick the one that is most appropriate and fill your custom segment.

I am trying to find the Function Module for Outbound processing of INVCON02 IDoc. I searched in the SE37 with IDOCINVCON, but did get any hits. Appreciate it if anyone can point me to the FM but Outbound/Inboud processing of INVCON.
