Partner Function

Hi All,

I have done the required config for the Partner Function.

But is the significance?

Suppose I have created a PO with one vendor( V1).

Can I receive the goods from another vendor(V2) and can I receive the Invoice from another vendor(V3).

Yes... you can ..

You need to maintain them as partners in the PO

Hi,

in we20 u might have created the partenr profiles for vendor V1 ,similarly in order to send/receive data from vendor V2 AND V3 ,u need to define it in WE20..Then only u will get the information from V2 AND V3.U need to specify the partner number and partner type as LI ...

My query is: What is the significance of Partner Functions?

Please explain with an example.

Bill-to Party:

A person or company that receives the invoice for a delivery or service.

Sold to Party:

A person or company that places an order for goods or services.

Ship-to party:

A person or company that places an order for goods or services.

Payer:

A person or company that pays the bill.

i am giveing some real time example , implement this to bussiness scenario

my uncle is planning to give a gift to me, he is going to take bank loan to purchase that gift.

sold to party is my uncle

shipto party is to me

bill to party is my uncle

payer is bank through which my uncle take loan
