how table created in data base(back end process)

generally in se11 ,we will be creating the tables,but i want to know how the table in the back ground will be creatd in the data baase,that is in the routine process i know how to create thru se11,but i need to know how in back ground process goes on while its getting underlying database.......kindly help meeee

Hi,

Generally what v create in the se11 will b created in the data dictionary and while activating , the tables are created in the database..

Hi Naresh,

The most important object types in the ABAP Dictionary are tables, views, types, domains, search helps and lock objects.These Data definitions (metadata) are created and managed in the ABAP Dictionary and when activated the same structure will be created in the underlying relational database.

For example, If you just create a table and don't activate, then the database will not have the table.If you activate then it will be created in the database.

You create tables or views....etc in the underlying relational database using these data definitions. The ABAP Dictionary therefore describes the logical structure of the objects used in application development and shows how they are mapped to the underlying relational database.

Naresh,

After creating the table through SE11 Tranansaction, when you activate, RDBMS system in SAP which is Oracle, which will generates a SQL Statement like CREATE TABLE <ZTABLE>....... to create the designed table in the database and it will get physically stored under SAP database system.

Hi..

We can only create the table in DDIC. When the table is Activated in the DDIC the Table is created physically in the Underlying Database.

You can see the Table in the Database (Eg: Oracle) using the menu path:

Utilities -> Database Object -> Display.

Tables will be created as independent tables on the database without any foreign key relaionships.
