IDoc - Custom segments added?

Hi,

I am new to IDOC and working on Sales Order BOM inbound interface. Using BOMORD01 Idoc and filling E1STZUM, E1KDSTM and E1STPON segments. Getting a message saying "Segment cannot be identified" (ZE1FIKP) and also "Custom segments added" but actually my intention is not to add any custom segments, why I am getting this message and how to correct it.

Please look into your code, you must appending a segment in idoc data which named 'ZE1FIKP' and you hve not extented the basic type to that segment.

can you tell me, what is actually 'ZE1FIKP' in your program. When the system is giving such message then you must use something like ZE1FIKP in your program and how actually you have used ZE1FIKP in your program??

Hi,

Just For your understanding...

There are basically two types of IDOCs.

Basic IDOCs

Extended IDOCs

Idoc Components

Basic Idoc

Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.

Extension Idoc

Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.

Creation of IDoc

To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:

Create Segment ( WE31)

Create Idoc Type ( WE30)

Create Message Type ( WE81)

Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

creating a Segment

Go to transaction code WE31

Enter the name for your segment type and click on the Create icon

Type the short text

Enter the variable names and data elements

Save it and go back

Go to Edit -> Set Release

Follow steps to create more number of segments

Create IDOC Type

Go to transaction code WE30

Enter the Object Name, select Basic type and click Create icon

Select the create new option and enter a description for your basic IDOC type and press enter

Select the IDOC Name and click Create icon

The system prompts us to enter a segment type and its attributes

Choose the appropriate values and press Enter

The system transfers the name of the segment type to the IDOC editor.

create IDOC Type

Follow these steps to add more number of segments to Parent or as Parent-child relation

Save it and go back

Go to Edit -> Set release

Create Message Type

Go to transaction code WE81

Change the details from Display mode to Change mode

After selection, the system will give this message “The table is cross-client (see Help for further info)”. Press Enter

Click New Entries to create new Message Type

Fill details

Save it and go back

Assign Message Type to IDoc Type

Go to transaction code WE82

Change the details from Display mode to Change mode

After selection, the system will give this message “The table is cross-client (see Help for further info)”. Press Enter.

Click New Entries to create new Message Type.

Save it and go back

Hi,

Please go to transaction WE30 and see the segments of the idoc type.

I think someone has tried to add a custom segment to the idoc type and it has not been properly added.

What you can do is delete the custom segment and try your logic again.

Hi Balaji..

This may be bcoz of creating an Extended IDOC type for BOMORD01.

To avoid this error:

Open the Partner profiles(in the sender syster) in WE20 check the message type whether there is Extended IDOC type is also assigned. If it is assigned remove it.

Only assign the Basic type BOMORD01. Then it should work.

Abhishek: I am not appending 'ZE1FIKP' and I don't want it also.

Sandeep: I checked in WE30 for BOMORD01, under which I am not finding any custom segments.

Varma: I checked in WE20, I am finding Message type such as BOMORD and not finding any extended message types (It will start with "Z" correct?)

Also I went to WE31 and I am finding "ZE1FIKP" there, I tried "WHERE-USED-LIST", it shows that it's used in extention FIDCCP02. How FIDCCP02 is linked to my program?

Hi,

In IDoc Diagnosis, I am getting the following message.

The current BADI implementation should allow the insertion of additional segments into the IDoc.

This BADI has errors: The new IDoc would have syntax errors.

The additional segments have therefore not been saved.

The syntax error 'Segment cannot be identified' occured in the segment/segment group 'ZE1FIKP'.

Could you please explain the action should I take to correct it?

Hi,

The BADI implemented for some other object got triggered when I am executing my code. I went to SE19 and changed the code in implementation of other object, so that it will get triggered only for that object.
