File Handling from Application Server

Dear Friends,

I need to extract a file from the third party server into SAP Application Server, then I need to upload the data using dataset functions.

The problem is, I do not have an idea, how to extract the file from the Third Party Server, is it possible via RFC with any Function Modules . . .

1.Schedule some FTP programs to transfer file from one server to SAP application server.

2. Use intergration tools like Business connector

Hi Dinesh,

You need to check with the customer who has provided the 3rd party tool.

SAP provides transaction CG3Y & CG3Z for upload & download from presentation/application server.

For 3rd tool, sap wont be able to download. The tool would be having some feature to download the data.
