difference b/w local and sequential files

Local file:

1) not secured as any one can open this from presentation server.

2) b/g progarms cannot run using the data from local file (upload FM doesnt work in b/g)

seq file:

1) secured

2) we can run the b/g progarm using data in app serevr

local file is the file in the presentation server( example ur desktop or c drive or something like that).

application server is the file in ur sap directory. u can view with the transaction al11.
