    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes, there is a coding difference, you use WRITE statements to produce a classical report, for ALV, there is a number of ways to produce an ALV report.  One is the function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY which you call and pass some parameters and the output is displayed.  You can also use the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID which allows you to produce an ALV grid in a screen container.
