Hi,

In an upload program, we upload the data from an excel file. One data in that excel sheet is price whose value is say 10000. The progam runs successfully and generates a batch input file for the update in the background.

But the batch input session has an error as the price value is submitted as 10000,00 instead of 10000 in the excel file.

The price is without any decimal 10000 in the excel sheet, but in the batch input session the price value is changed to 10000,00. This ,00 decimal causes a failure as JPY currency doesnot accept decimals.

Can you pls tell me why it happens and how it can be rectified.

Hi

If it is Indian Currency it works fine even if it is 10000.00 in excel

the price field will accept it

To avoid probelms in currency fields before the population of that particular currency field use the fun module CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY or CONVERT_TO_FOREIGN_CURRENCY such that it will convert the currency in the excel(which will come into ITAB in the program) and the correct field is populated after conversion.

Regards

Anji

YEN is the lowest form of currency,

so while creating the bdc data use coding this way

write : jpycurr to v_curr decimals 0.

and pass v_curr to BDC data.

May this wiill help you.

a®

Hi,

When we use FM convert_to_local_currency or convert_to_foreign_currency,

we have 2 exporting parameters,1. Local currenct and 2.foreign currency.

we have only one currency being used in the program and that is JPY. so how do we use it then.

Let me just explain you once more: In the internal table which we used for upload has netprice as type c length 14. so it correctly populating without any decimal places(10000). But then in the program for netprice we are using domain wert11 whose length is 11 and decimal places 2 because of which the netprice becomes 10000.00 . But currency JPY does not accept price in decimals which is creating the batch input error. Thanks,

Yes, the field on the screen is of type wert11.

I'm uploading the PIR data into the standard transaction ME11 using this program.

The report as such is working fine . Only when the batch input sessions are processed we see the error in the session log. The ME11 does not accept decimal value for the currenct JPY.

So the problem is only during the batch input process.

Is there any solution for this.. Pl. let me know.
