RBDAPP01:what is diff. b/t Idoc selection & Parallel proc. tab

i have performance issue with RBAPP01, volume of data is receving from the people soft but performance is extremely slow and causing a delay to employee vendors being updated with the correct information.

The problem happens only when the data volume is very large.

Can we breaking the data volume into smaller packets thru RBDAPP01 PROGRAM , when we execute this program 2 tabs is there so thru tab 1 i.e idoc selection tab slection screen so here one field is there with name packet size, if we control the packet size then perforamnce can be increased.

and u also suggest me what is difference between idoc selection tab & Parallel proc. tab.

so as i am thinking if the volume is limited then performance can be increase and it would be a good solution.

pls help me on above issue.

Hi Vipin,

If there is no dependency on data coming in then you can use parallel processing. But in HR case there is always data dependency so I don't think it will be better idea to use parallel processing.

So can we proccess thru idoc selection and we can breaking the data volume into smaller packets..?

and then performance can be increase and that would be a good solution for the above performance issue.

pls suggest me...regarding this

pls suggest me if we process through Idoc selction tab and with limited packet size then is there any possibility of improve the performance....

...and waht is mean of packet size...i.e. if we given packet size 5 then how much of idoc data is there...??

its very urgent help me...
