Hi Casper,

I dont think anyone will give you a very detailed explanation regarding because each performace issue is different and more over this topic is really vast. Just cant write that in 2-3 paragraph. In general once can only advice you to do the general checks . If you have any specific question it will be easy for you to get the answers.

My advice will be to read SAP Performance Optimization Guide (4th Edition)

by Thomas Schneider .It is a really good book to start with.

http://www.sap-press.com/product.cfm?account=&product=H951

Comming back to your question , As you dont have any issue with CPU or Memory , check your database . There might be lot of expensive sql statement in your system , find those and try to optimize with help of your ABAP team. Also check the tables and missing indexes etc. If Idexes are required for your z prog create it , if its a std prog take SPA advice before doing it. Check database statistics jobs are running . These things can be checked using ST04, ST05 ,DB02 and ST03N ( in an oracle db ) . From ST03N you can see the transactions which has lot of DB time , find corresponding report and the sql statement

If you have more question , pleas elet me know also let us know your OS and DB

Thanks

Prince Jose

Hi all,

Can anyone give me the detail references about workload analysis. When I said detail, I mean really detail, since I have some references but it doesn't enough and doesn't help me at all when I found long response time problem. E.g. I found long response time in my system, there was no CPU /memory bottleneck, or suspicious buffer things. I need reference which give me detail steps on how to solve kind of that problem.

Regards,

Casper

Message was edited by:

        casper chen

Hi Casper,

Looks to me like there are some of Z Transactions and programs which are causin this problem. You can run Transaction ST03N. In that on left hand side under analysis views select Transaction Profile you will be able to see some of the transactions which are using high memory of the system which are infact causing lot of response issues.

If you select workload overview and select any of the rows and right click and select details you should be able to see the average values.

If you select memory statistics it will also reveal all the transactions and programs which are consuming most of the memories.

I hope this will help you a lot. You can talk to your Development team to help you in reducing issues with these programs and transactions.

Regards

Vivek
