Hello,

I didnt get any help with my 'Connection refused' problem (posted sep 18th) so I uninstalled everything and tried reinstalling it. I worked out, when it wouldnt install, that the error message saying it's detected an 'Existing database instance NSP' means I needed to uninstall MaxDB. It proceeded, but with install errors, and I got the same 'Connection refused' problem - so tried again.

However, this time I get the following installation error saying it's detected an 'Existing SAP system NSP' and I cannot see anything else sap-related to uninstall. What am I missing? What do I need to uninsall?

One last question: Where you download it, you see the following message:

''Place the files to the same folder and extract "SAPNW2004sABAPTrialSP12" only.'

However you download the following files:

SAPNW7.0ABAPTrialSP12.part1.tgz

SAPNW7.0ABAPTrialSP12.part2.tgz

(Not NW2004, but NW7.0)

So I'm not sure which to extract, I've presumed both in the above installations.

Many thanks

Ash

Okay, well I managed to fix it myself.

I'd advise against doing this unless you're sure you know what you're doing (and you've backed up the registry, something I didnt do! 🐵

I searched the registry for all SAPNSP and NSP's and removed appropriate ones.

It's installing now! I'll let you know if it all works again
