I'm appling a sap NOTE and this is about "Application Form".

What is a application Form?

Hi Antonello,

Application form in ISU context means the forms that you develop using the print workbench.

You can use the transaction EFRM to display/change/create the forms.

Some info about Application Form for SAP:IS-U

Components of Application form are,

1.Form class

2.SAP Script Form

3.Generated Function Group

4.Generated Function Module

5.User Exit Include

6.User Top Include

7.Start and End Exit

Application Form is basically used to display the data from SAP Script/Smartforms. It acts as an interface between SAP Script ( Which is used to design ). Actually this Application form binds the data to the SAP SCript/Smart forms.

Hello Antonello,

Let me share my ideas about Application Form.

Application form and Form class are the two components of Print Workbench. (Print Workbench is an environment that comes with SAP IS-U for standardized outgoing correspondence.).

In Form Class: You create "Hierarchy" which describes the model of data i.e., You specify how your data flows from level 1 to n.

You also specify SAP Tables which will be used to fetch these data.

In Application Form: You specify which Form class you are going to use. Thence, you got all the data to be displayed to screen or to print.

Then , you use SAP Scripts / Smart forms to design the output format.

This is how you use Application Form and Formclass in Printworkbench.
