syntax error in screen

hello all,

i have a custom table for which i generated table maintenance dialog. its fine in Dev. system. when i transported it to Quality, the request had import error saying the screen has error.

particularly error is 'field PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT' has length zero.

as a way around, second time, i deleted the table maintenance, transported deletion. in Quality table maintenance is correctly deleted. i ,then,created table maintenance in Dev. system afresh and transported it to Quality hoping that it would be fine this time.

but still i have same import error.

can anyone pls help me !

what happens when you try to maintain entries in this table in Q system?

Hi,

might it be that a request that changes the table's structure has not been transported to your Quality system and therefore, the maintenance view is OK in DEV but produces errors in the Quality system?

here is the complete error message i see in STMS

Screen SAPLZMM_CBF_VALUETAB 0001: Generation error

doesn't help much to me...

so as the other commenter suggested, you have to check if the table is the same in DEV and Q.

just to be sure about the error, i created a new table afresh, created table maintenance and transported it to QCD. still i have same problems.

can you check if the new table exists in Q? Was included in the transport?

yes the new table exists in Q. i can see it in SE11
