IDOC Processing Order

From XI SAP is receiving IDOCs created. While Processing the IDOCs in ABAP can we specify the processing sequence such that IDOC number 1 posts the document first and then second document get created and so on.

You can make use of the field SERIAL in the IDOC control record..
