SAP ides 4.7 Installation problem

Hi freinds

Can you plz help me! regarding following installation problem..

U have 4 DVD of SAP Ides 4.7. In each DVD there are three ZIP file of same name as mentioned below.

DVD 1: sap.part01.rar, sap.part02.rar, sap.part03.rar

DVD 2: sap.part04.rar, sap.part05.rar, sap.part06.rar

DVD 3: sap.part07.rar, sap.part08.rar, sap.part09.rar

DVD 4: sap.part10.rar.

i start with DVD 1 and extract file "sap.part01.rar" to a drive c:. Then it automatically ask for next DVD. when all DVD extraction is completed, it makes a file "sap.wim" of size 19.45 GB(Approx) on drive c:. this is an image file. now i have utility ximage.exe in the DVD 4. I use this utlity to open image sap.wim to dive 😧 in dos command mod. It start applyin the image on to drive d: using follwing cammand

c:\ximage /apply sap.wim d: 1.

but after making folder on drive d: of sap, oracle, program file, sap ides etc it stopped immediately with an error as given below.

c:\erorr in restoring image!

access denied.

Plz help me out.

Hi Rajesh,

Installation steps are very clear in the SAP users guide...

1. Copy all the DVD into you local drive ex. d:\ drive.

2. Check for the admin right.

3. Check for the memory when the log file is getting written during installation.

4. During the installation process provide all the path for the kernal and other CD's parth correctly....
