enabling the text field at runtime

hi friends,

textfield is disabled when the screen is displayed to the user(i did this thing). when a button is clicked on the screen i have to enable the text field on the screen.how to do this.

please help me in this regard

Hi Janakiram,

In ABAP there is a transaction called shdo screen varients

u can make the changes u asked for.

Hi,

Declare a button:

SELECTION-SCREEN:   PUSHBUTTON 2(10) but1 USER-COMMAND dis.

AT SELECTION-SCREEN.
  CASE sscrfields-ucomm.
   WHEN 'DIS'.
      dis = 'X'.   "a char 1 variable
   ENDCASE.

AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
  IF dis = 'X'.
    LOOP AT screen.
      IF screen-name = 'YOUR_FIELD_NAME'.
        screen-input = '1'.
        modify screen.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
  ENDIF.

In the PBO module use this code

LOOP AT SCREEN.

IF SCREEN-NAME '<TEXT FIELD>'.

SCREEN-INPUT = 1.

MODIFY SCREEN.

ENDIF.

ENDLOOP.
