Hey pals,

Can anyone differentiate between OCS and OSS?

How and when are they used?

Can you please tell us the context you are talking about? OSS is the online sap support or SAP net or service market place as I know it. I haven't heard about OCS.

OCS stands for Online Correction Support. Up untill now, I have never heard of it. I just googled it.

OCS

Provision of software corrections for an SAP component via SAPNet - R/3 Frontend (today: mySAP Enterprise Resource Planning) or the SAP Service Marketplace before the next formal release.

OSS

SAPNet-R/3 Frontend (today: mySAP Enterprise Resource Planning), formerly Online Service System (OSS), is a medium that enables information flow, communications, and services between SAP customers and SAP. Customers can use the SAPNet-R/3 Frontend to find solutions to system problems, such as Notes, Support Packages, to submit problem messages to SAP, to retrieve information.

Rich, I am hearing OCS for the first time too.

May be oss was called ocs before.
