regarding text node in events in smartforms

hi experts,

in my smartforms i have clicked event on sort end checkbox and if i rt click on this event to create text but here the text node is not coming how to create text node in event plz let me know......

You have to first create a table line, as this event is part of your table output. Once you have a table line you can create a text element in on of the row's cells.

hi nick,

in the event i created table line and i created text after execution it is giving this error::::as in the sort criteria i ticked mark event on sort end :::

The content of the short dump would suggest that the field you have specified for the event does not exist in your table.

The short dump names the field as "ITAB_FINAL_SFM". Is this the field you have specified for your sort criteria?

Then your dump might not be related to the sort criteria. You'll need to find where in your form you use the field ITAB_FINAL_SFM and investigate that.

you know nick itab_final_sfm is my internal table with the help of which i m showing the output,and whenever i click event on sort end it gives me short dump...........

When you check this event the following is added at the end of the data declaration of the generated function module,

DATA: BEGIN OF %SE1,

FIRST,

ACT LIKE W_TAB,

SORT001,

END OF %SE1.

Where W_TAB is the work area you are using to read your table. It is this code that is causing the dump.

It is based on the value in the 'Data' tab or your table,

Internal table my_tab into W_TAB.

How is this expressed in your form? Is your work area defined in global data?

actually i m using itab_final_sfm into itab_final_sfm in the internal table chekbox ,i m using header not workarea......

Then this is the problem, you cannot loop through a table in Smartforms and assign each line into iteslf, I'm surprised this works at all. You need to declare a work area in your global data with the same structure as your table ITAB_FINAL_SFM and use this as the INTO structure.

dear nick,

actually i declared in tables tab "itab_final_sfm" like "zrawstock" where zrawstock is a structure now in global data i will declare "wa_itab type zrawstock" is it a rt way of declaring workarea.

THNX NICK thnx alot that error has gone but material wise totaling is not coming it is coming like this for first material the total quantity is coming in next row , then for second material his total quantity is coming but it is also adding the quantity of first quantity into it.....

This is controlled by the settings in your Calculations tab. SaiRam has given you some detail on how to use this in your other thread,

I also put some explanation into a thread yesterday on how this is used, but the search doesn't seem to be working at the moment, so I can't find it. As I recall you'll need to fill the final two columns in this tab to reset the total for each material.
