what exactly the role of an abaper and if the creating any report .....how can he know the different fields that the company require and where they are present .... is it necessary for an abaper to remember all the table names .... if not how can he know about a particular field where it is present...

automatically you will remember all the tables used in the report program

in the functional specification maximum they will give all the details of the tables and fields so you no need to remember at that time

some time they don't mantion the names at that time you can search for that tables or you can ask your Functional people to know the tables names and field s name s

HI,

ABAPER should prepare the technical specs..

There is no nedd to remember all the tables..

you will get all the details in your functional specs..

Abaper need to do coding and unit testing..

Your functonal spec contains the tables as well as the fields names..

If not you need to take help from seniors,
