Creating shipment order

Hey experts,

i want my piece of code to be executed when shipment number is created. which user exits can i use here

ie,Actually In my addon screen, BAPI is used for creating sales order and customizing part is triggered for automatically creating shipment number with respect to current sales document number.

My client wants to write piece of code in user exits, so that once shipment number is executed, immediately after my piece of code will be executed.

if thats the case, whats the user exits can i choose

to write my code..

I tried VL01N transaction userexits, but could not found the right one choosing my requirement.

could you pls suggest me what user exits will be suitable for my requirement approximately..

suggestion please.

Hi Ambi,

I'm not sure if i understand your requirement exactly, but enhancement V56UNUMB is available for shipment number determination. I guess you can use this user exit to meet your requirements?

This will most likly be fired when the system grabs the next available shipment number. I think that it does this when being saved.

Hi Ambi,

As Rich already indicated: The exit is called when saving the shipment (in FM SD_SHIPMENTS_SAVE).
