I"m closing this question. After doing a lot of digging the only way to achieve this seems to be to enhance the screen and insert my own code. I wish I had time to figure out how to properly insert my own enhancement point and create a multiple implementation badi but alas the biz doesn't want to wait.

Kevin

Hi, In ECC6.0 I'm trying to find a BADI that will allow me to disable certain fields based on a custom authority object. There is only so much that can be done through SPRO. I'm pretty certain a BADI is required but all I can find are BADI's which don't return screen fields. Ideally I want to toggle the screen-input value for certain fields within MM01/02 based a custom authority object. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Kevin,

I dont know whether there is a suitable BADI exists or not. But, you this would be a generic way where you can find a BADI. The following is the procedure:

Try for a BADI to write the code, you can find the BADI your self, follow the below steps

1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)

2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.

3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).

Now

4) Execute SAP standard transaction

5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.

6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.

7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction

if you follow this 7 steps, you will find a suitable BADI.

Thanks,

Adithya K

askSAP@googlegroups.com

Hi Adithya, thanks but I had already used that technique. The badis I discovered didn't seem to have the parameters I need. Ideally what I'd like to do is to change the SCREEN values of certain fields within the transaction. I was hoping to find some clue has to how to do this. Perhaps there are parameters for the interface that serve this purpose but I'm not seeing them.

Kevin
