hi all,

I am adding a logical DB in an exisiting report for an addition of selection component.

I have a requirement to run the existing report when no entry is made in the added selection components.

But this gives error from the LDB.

Can we have the selkection screens from LDB added in the report and also that they should not tbe mandatory.

Pls. help with your ideas.

Try to use function module RS_REFRESH_FROM_DYNAMICAL_SEL instead of using a logical database.

Look at threads like in sdn.

Hi Stock,

Even I have faced this problem once.

There was a HR report wherein a Logical Database(PSJ) was attached and then the requirement changed and the client did not want the previous mandatory field to be filled.

The only solution that I could find after working out several possibilities for atleast 15 days was as follows:

I copied the SAP standard Logical Database in to a Z LDB and found out the location of the error message and commented it.

The other solution could be that in the Z LDB,go to the Selections button which defines the selection screen for the LDB, and add No-display in front of the fields that you do not want to appear on the selection screen.
