Hi all,

I am getting the error 'material does not exist in storage location' during load of return orders.

When I check in VBAP, the LGORT field is not populated in the order. However, in VBRP, the LGORT field is populated which means it is copied from the delivery in the invoice. And both VBAP and VBRP point to the same check table for LGORT.

In the order, LGORT is not shown which is consistent with the material master setup. However, in the invoice LGORT is shown with the value which is not maintained in the material master. After copying the referenced invoice, the storage location is populated in the return order.

However, none of the materials has a storage location maintained.

So, my question is why is the storage location copied to the return order.

And, also how to bypass the error message 'material does not exist in storage location'.

Thanks and regards,

Anishur

Ask the material master guy to maintain the material properly, when materials are getting created its not created in storage location level, you will need to maintain the material in storage loc level
