    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Such a generall question does not really make sense&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A view can be a project, i.e. one table with less fields, the effect will be the same&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;as using a field list. Just simpler to code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A view can be a join of several tables, usually from performance the same as the join, just simpler to code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In rare case a view can be materialized, it exists on the database and not just as defintion. Recommended only in ver y exceptional cases, can make problems!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Siegfried&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi friends,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If we fetch data from view and fetch it directly from database table&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does it make any difference in Execution Time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If yes, then which one is preferable way for fetching data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If anybody give me some guidance for fecthing data which will take less execution  time, it is really very helpful to me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dharmishta&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
