Hi Experts,

Im going to Create a Customer master record [XD01] through LSMW.

Im using Batch Input Method. But My Flat file is stored in Desktop.

My doubt is Can I use the Flat file from Desktop or Get the Flat file from Application Server.

I thing for background processing like Batch Input, we must take the flat file from Application Server.

Out of the 14 steps of LSMW the step number 7 :

Step 7: Specify files

In this step, we define how the layout of the input file is. The input file is a [Tab] delimited with the first row as field names. It is present on my PC (local drive) as C:\XD02.txt.

Hi,

In LSMW you can use the flat file from either Presentation server or the Application server, but when generating the Session, execute that session in the Background
