Hello,

what does the output of the command:

which java

say? Is this the right version of java?

Have you installed the Java RE 1.4.2 or 5.0?

Set the PATH variable to the right java. It seems that the system uses the gcj.

Greetings, Michael

Please check your JRE version. I assuming that RHEL are using JRE from GNU (called GIJ). You can check it by typing this command on console :

#java -version

If your screen showing you GNU, then you have to replaced your JRE.

I suggest you download JRE from SUN. Download the latest one.

You can check my blog link for step by step installation here <a href="http://sapbasis.wordpress.com/2007/08/22/installation-and-configuration-of-sapgui-for-java-on-linux/">Installation SAPGUI for Java on Linux</a>.

Please award point if helpful.

ardhian
