Hi all!

One of our users are getting a very strange error (attached below) while logging onto SAP via the SAP ActiveX objects. The user can, however, log on to this sytem via the logon pad. Does anyone have any ideas of what could have gone wrong? Also, what is component LG?

Thanks,

Charles

---

Error Group

RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION

Message

Connect to message server failed

Connect_PM MSHOST=/H/saprouter.x-x.com/H/192.168.100.1, R3NAME=DBP, GROUP=puplic

LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host

ERROR internal error (this retcode should be handled by caller of LG-layer) , ?

TIME Fri Sep 09 10:29:38 2005

RELEASE 610

COMPONENT LG

VERSION 5

RC -3

COUNTER 8

Is there a typo error? If I look at the message below, it says "Connect_PM MSHOST=/H/saprouter.x-x.com/H/192.168.100.1, R3NAME=DBP, GROUP=puplic". Should it not say 'public' instead of 'puplic'?

Nope. Puplic is correct. The connection string is automatically retreived via the ActiveX object from the SAPLogon.INI file. This particular connection works fine when running from the SAP logon pad but gives this error when connecting via our application. Other connection strings work as expected via our application.
