Hi Ali,

BADI Copying is not recommonded (eventhough we can copy them). When a BADI has been implemented there would be a class associated with that and when the instance are being fetched there will be casting that would be done. To make sure just try to debug an implemented BADI at the call of it:

CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance. This causes the casting problem. But i really cannot determine now how to overcome this error.

Regards,

Goutham.

Hello Friends,

In order to add new columns to a standard HR appraisalls report I have copied necessary functions, packages and BADIs to local objects. When I call my copy I receive the error 'CAST_ERROR' during a class call of CL_EXITHANDLER================CP. Is it possible that I left something not copied or is there something wrong when calling the local copy of BADIs. The original program is RHHAP_APP_DOCUMENT_SEARCH_PA called by transaction PHAP_SEARCH_PA; these are copied to local namespace. Also the functions in this program are copied to local objects. It seems that the program still calls the original BADI!! The called class is CL_EXITHANDLER and method is GET_INSTANCE. What should I check?

Thx in advance.

Ali
