This signifies the number of table index. Each row of a table has certain index or counter.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;u are just creating another object which just has the characteristics of sy-tabix (internal table index). &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;u many use I_lines in your program instead to use sy-tabix again and again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
