Inner join on two views

Hi friends,

can i create INNER JOIN on two views.. because i have a requirement that i need to fetch the data from two database views .. is it possible ..? if yes means ,can u plz give me the syntax for that also..

helpful answers will be highly appriciated.

Hi Babu,

I never tried this But technically it should be possible. Just treat views as two tables and write the query.

Hi BABU,

Create the database VIEW on which ever table u need to take the fields. Note that All the table used in DATABASE VIEW need to have realtionship.

Then on data base view u give simple select statement to fetch the required fields.

Only database and projection view can be use in abap code .

Hi,

Technically it is possible to use inner join between two views. I have used it.

But if the views involved in join deal with large data retrieval from database, the performance of the program drastically comes down. This is my personal experience. Moreover, for all entries clause with view is really poor in performance if view has more number of records.

Try joining views only if they deal with less data.

Hi Babu,

You cant perform JOIN operation on Views. If you had a relationship among views to a build query then means, you can definiltely had a chance to JOIN on the tables which are used by the the two database views. First build a relationship among the tables used by Views..

Views are also JOINs on tables.
