hi Guys,

I am pretty new to ABAP and I have a very small doubts.

1.Can we update any field of the Z or custome table directly or do we first need to create an internal table of that Z table and update the field of that internal table and then update the Z or custom table.

2. I have an internal table it_temp and its z table is z_temp. I made what ever changes I want to make in the internal table and now I want to update that Z or custom table with the values of that updated internal table.

Can you please tell me how to do that.

3. I have written a perfrom that will through the error message when we don't find the specific cstomer that " customer Id CUSTID is not available" along with the customer ID ... can you tell me how can we do that .

Thanks

Rajeev gupta

Hi Rajeev,

1. You can do using the internal table as well you can update only one particular field without internal table. Internal table is suggested.

2. You need to use UPDATE z_emp FROM TABLE it_emp.

3.This is the same way you have written, a slight modification is

MESSAGE e000 WITH 'Customer ID' l_customer_id 'is not available.'.

Regards,

Atish
