Appropriate FM for Message

Dear All,

I am facing trouble in framing out whether Function Module IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM will process IDoc type INVOIC02. I have checked in WE57 transaction but this assignment is not existing. I had reviewed the Release notes, I found the above function module. But could not frame out whether the above function module will suit my requirement. Can any body say how to search for an appropriate function module and when to go for ALE/BAPi Interface.

Hi..

You can find the FMs for this IDOC type INVOIC02 in WE57 itself.

First it will display all the BAPI FMs. But if u scroll down you can also find the Message type based FMs.

For FI Invoice

IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_FI

For MM invoice

IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MM

IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM

So Based on ur Req you can use one of these.
