while installing Enterprise 4.7 200 IDES, i struck up here to decide

what to select and continue in screen below

Problem is...while installing...I get screen Asking for..

"ABAP SYSTEM->Interuppting for Multilanguage support

Finish the prerperation for multi national lanaguge support.

Multi National Language support

The installation stops now because the system has to be prepared for multi

national language support. if the preperations have been finished, you can continue

the installation now. if you want to perform the necessary actions later , you have

to interupt the installation process and continue, when you have finished the preperations.

if you want to use multinational language support, you much not start the sap system unless

the necessary actions have been finished.

1-Continue installation

2-Interupt installation( default checked)

Buttons -OK /CANCEL/LOGOF

what to do here.I dont understand what it is..its asking for unicode or language support(en,japanese,de,au..etc)?.

FYI. i am going to work with Japanese environment.

could you pls help me..how to continue..

Hi,

For use of multi national language support, u need have necessage language support CD to continue installing the language pack. If u want to have only the default language (say EN), u can continue installing. As u need to work with JApanese and if the default lang is not Japanese, u need to have the necessary CD

Hi,

As specified in the above URL, it could be used, if the server is installed already. That is after installation if u want to install lang pack, u can do it thru SMLT transaction. But if u want to install at the time of Server installation, u need to have the necessary MNLS CDs.

Hello everyone,

We are deploying BW 3.5 IDES, and it only comes in non-Unicode version. However, we need to test our scenarios with a Unicode system.

Is there anyway to enable Unicode on a BW 3.5 IDES system? Has anyone done something like this before?
