system user in ecc

Hi,

I have created a system type user and assigned a role.

i wnat to check whether this user i have created is correct.

when i try to login with user id thro GUI it says " log in as a dialog user "

i want to know the password i kept for that user is working or not.

please help

SR,

Change the User Type to Service (this way it will not require you to change password). Login to verify the password, can change the user type back to system.

Hi Sunny,

You cannot log in using a system user.

One simple way of testing it could be:

1. Change user to dialog user

2. try and log in with known password

- If the password is correct then you will get the prompt to change the password (as all dialog users get on first login)

- If not correct then the system will tell you

Alternatively you could set up an RFC connection in SM59 using the system user, enter the userID and password and test the connection. This will tell you if password is what you thought it was.
