after creating a report program ,........v hve to release the requst .....how do v do that ..........i hve a bit confusion bout this ..............pls tell me the steps in detail..........thnx ...

Hi Guru,

Go to tsn SE09 or SE10.

check ur object under a transport request.

Check the syntax and other checks

Press F9 key to release request

Goto SE09, identify the request number, expand it...

You will see one more request number below your request.First you have to release this lower request, click on it(lower request number ) and click the transport button (lorry symbol), it will take you to once screen ,click activate.

Now press back and click on the main request number and press the transport button.. inform the basis the TP number they will move it to QA and production.

hi..

Follow the instructions :

1 Go to transaction SE09 You will be able to see your TR here.

2 Now expand this TR, as the TR also contains task.

3 Now select the task and click on the 'truck' button on toolbar (which is relase button)

4 After releasing the task you need to release the TR in the same way.

5 Now give this TR no. to your basis person and he will take care of rest.

go to T-code SE10 -> give the user name -> Request Type - Workbench request -> Request Status - Modifiable -> Click

After that select the change request no. and expand it. U will get the task no. similar to change request no. First select that task and press F9 or Release directly button on the top. ---> then select the main request no and release in the similar way. -

> click reset botton till the report is transferred ,,,

Hello Guru,

The concept of transport request(TR) is used so that a object(eg.report, screen, function module, forms) can be developed in a development system and can be transported to quality system(which is separate server) for testing and after testing can be again transported to production(which is another separate server) on which the real business transaction takes place.

Coming to your question, when you create a report in the development system you have to save them in a TR. The process is while saving the report you will get a pop for creating a TR and saving your report in it. Once you have done it, you can go to SE09 and use ur login id and c the TR you created. From there you have to select the TR and click the small truck icon on top and ur TR gets released and a tick mark appears near your TR. This means your TR is released and sent to the queue from where it can be imported to any other system connected in the landscape.
