Identifying an IDOC

Hi,

My query is how do I identify the correct IDOC for a particular interface... for eg. there's an interface:- send GL account to order management system... so how do I identify that GLCORE01 or GLMAST01 can be the possible IDOC types ??

You can use, for example, transaction WE81.

Hi,

The transaction WEDI leads you to all the stuff about IDocs. If you are interested in the tables, then EDBAS and EDBAST would be useful. You can search for an IDoc Type by specifying the short description and the Language.

You can also try the interface repository: http://ifr.sap.com

Here you can find a list of interface methodes per business object. Although it is mostly bapi calls you might also find the correct Idoc for your purpose.
