Hi Martin,

What you can do is to get the original user to login (get the user recreated if they have left, it should still work), run the report and then do a System->Status. From this screen they can get the report name (its a wierd generated thing) which you can then run via SE38.

You can also copy the source of the generated report into a z program so that everyone can use it. I think that only the original user can edit it using the SQVI transaction though.

Hope that helps.

Brad

After saving this, go back to SQVI and you should now be able to see your collegue's quickview queries.

Hope this helps,

Srinivas

Hi Martin,

The query made from SQVI is only intended for individual use. It cannot be transported and there is no concept of Global/Standard area. To be able to transport or share the query to other users is by converting it to SAP Query wherein the source of data will also be converted to an Infoset. Remember that is done in the Standard query area. To do this, go to SQVI-> click SAP Query then go to menu Query -> Convert Quickviews... Select your Quickview queries and provide and infoset name.

I recently conducted this course at SAP Singapore so I should be able help you this one.

Cheers,

Kelvin Dela Rosa

Hi Martin,

I am not sure why you are not getting anything. As I mentioned before and as the other person mentioned here, Query Viewer queries are user specific and client specific. So if your collegue created such query, then the only way to access it is as explained in my previous post. I am able to access my collegues' quickview queries using this approach.

In the initial screen of SQ03, you should be able to get the user groups by F4 key. If you are not finding any user groups with the pattern mentioned(at least the SAP standard user groups should have been there), you might be in the wrong client.

Exactly what are you seeing in the initial screen of SQ03?

Srinivas

Helllo Srinivas,

I was able to follow the instructions as mentioned in your previous post. After going to SQ03, I added myself to the user group of the user(whose quickview, I ws trying to access), and after saving the changes, i go back to SQVI, iam still unable to see the quick views in question. Is there anything that iam missing here.

Thanks for your input.

-NEHA.
