Change Transaction Code Name?

Hi Guys,

How to change the Existing Transation code Name into a New transaction Code and the transaction code has already having a request no.How to delete that Transaction code and include the new Transaction code name in SE09 ?

GOTO SE93 -> enter your old transaction code -> click on rename button on tool bar.

now when you give new name then it will ask request number,give ur old request number-> save it.

so automatically old transaction code will remove from database permanently ,new transaction code will create.

no need to delete transport request for your case.

HI,

SE09--> select your transport --> and expand all nodes in the transport ~~> select transaction code object from list~~> right click~~> delete~~> system first will ask for popup say that object locked then ask for delete confirmation--> delete it.

SE80 --> give program name ~~> change~~> select the main program~~> right click~~> create~~> transaction code~~> select your options and create system will ask for transport request --> give your existing transport request number and save

Gopi,

Please learn to give points to all the answers that has helped you till now in all the questions you have asked.

i can see in all your posts, you have neither closed the thread nor given the points to anyone.

if this continues people will start hesitating in giving answers to your question and you might miss the better answer.

you dont lose anything by giving points but it encourages people who are taking time out of their busy job to answer you.

Hi Pankaj,

Hope you are doing great and I may be answered to Gopi's Thread ,and this is first time i got reward point .

Now a days i don't ask points from people,if they think that is right answer then they may be give reward points.

onething i can say i am sure that what ever Gopi got answer from other people ,maximum answers were correct Like Rich,Ferry,Atish,Srinivas adavi and some one.

it may be my answers wrong that is why i did not get it ,but he can assign reward points to others.

Gopi,if anything wrong on my side ,please excuse me.

Goto T/code SE93.

Enter the new transaction code (xxxx).

Give the program name and screen number.

press change..

It will automatically replace the old t/code to new t/code...

Now new t/code will be assigned for the your program.
