Hi Dilip,

Range - It would give you values BETWEEN two entries made.

Select-Options - Here you can restrict with Individual values also. You can INCLUE, EXCLUDE single values.

Hi,

Only difference b/w Range and Select-option is, if you are using Select-Option, the user can enter the value at the selection screen, however with Range option, it will not come to the selection screen but the value will be hard coded in the code itself.

except select-options provide an interface on selection screen for user to input data.

SELECT-OPTIONS :-----This will create a internal table implicitly.The values you enter on selection screen are automatically passed to that internal table.

Example :----

SELECT-OPTIONS : s_vbeln for vbak-vbeln.

An internal table is created with name s_vbeln implicitly,with 4 fields

1)High,2)Low,3)sign,4)Options.

RANGES :------> This will not create a internal table and you have to create it explicitly, inorder to accept the values which you enter in selection screen.

eg: ---> RANGES r_vbeln for vbak-vbeln.

Here you need to create a internal table with name r_vbeln with 4 fields as above.
