Transaction Variant

I need to create a transaction variant of MB52. It is used to generate a report on warehouse stock of material on hand. In the report I need to add more columns. Does that mean I have to use the std program to add more logic. How to create a transaction variant and rename the program behind the transaction. Please dont paste links to definitions of terms. Thank you.

Hi,

I don't think you can use transaction variant to add new field/column.

You need to copy standard report RM07MLBS to ZRM07MLBS and make changes/add new logic accordingly. Once done, you can either create custom transaction code or transaction variant to call this custom report.

When I go to SE93 to create a transaction what should the start object be in this case. I need to attach the transaction to a copy of the program RM07MLBS which runs for tc MB52
