Doubt on idocs

Hi,

1.when sender system sends IDOCS max how many records can be sent

as a payload?

2.how frequently we can push idocs in to other system?

3.If my client has 1 lakh records , can i split in to 10,000 records each time and send it as a payload every time when an idoc is triggered.

and for posting IDOCs which transaction will be used?

Plz clarify these doubts people who worked on IDOCS.

Hi Vinod,

1 There is no as such limit, but it is better you should distribute data in different IDOCS.

2 there is no as such limit, it is driven by requirement. If you require synchronous update then the IDOCs are sent as soon as they are created, but for better performance they are generally sent in a interval lets say 3 times a day.

3. Yes you can do that.

Just search using IDOC and you will find load of material on SDN

1.Number of records? This will be on the basis restriction maintained while creating segment by default it will be 99999.

2. Triggering of IDoc. That according to your needs. some IDocs will trigger whenever transactions get created or modified (realtime) some of the IDocs will run in scheduled run

3. Not clear about requirement. your client's 1 lakhs records need to send thru IDoc?

1) you can send as man;y records

2) depends upon the mode of transfer and which port u are using port

3)yes u can split the records

4) for poosting idocs <b>transaction bd87 </b>is used
