Error: " GI_Material can not be a table, a reference , a string, or .......

Hi All,

Can you please look into this error:

type: Begin of tfl_material,

type(2),

tabrec(100),

end of tfl_material,

ti_material type standard table of tfl_material.

data : gi_material type ti_material.

read dataset p_error into gi_material.

Error: " GI_Material can not be a table, a reference , a string, or contain any of these objects."

Can any one of you suggest abt this error?

Try

TYPES: BEGIN OF tfl_material,

type(2),

tabrec(100),

END OF tfl_material,

ti_material TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF tfl_material.

DATA : gi_material TYPE ti_material.

I didnt get any error using the above declarations.
