Abt reterve deleted programs

Hi all,

I show my program in TRDIR table which is deleted earlier.

Is there any possibilites to store that program back.

if so suggess me.

Hi!

If your program is transported into an another (QAS, PRD) system, you can retrieve it from there.

You can ask someone from the basis to get your program back from the backup of the dev system.

Hi Sanket, try this if you had maintained versions for that program

goto Se38

give the same program name

in menu utilities~~->versions~~->return to active version

chk this if it works

well at least you probably wont delete any program now anymore if you are not a 100% sure.

As far as i Know there is no possibility to get the program back if you have just this one system.

The only reason why you can e.G. get deleted invoices back is, that they dont get deleted but only a field which marks them as deleted is beeing set to X.

if you delete a Program, this record is beeing deleted REALLY from your database.

There might be a way to get it back via the database, tho i dont know that.

But your basis guys might be able to help you as well. If a file gets deleted on your hard disk, it wont get deleted, but the space it inherits gets marked as "free".

Once a new file has to be written to disc, it might get written over you previosly deleted file.

so you might have the chance to get it back from DB and from OS.
