Hi,

REPORT program

 [NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING]

 [LINE-SIZE number_of_columns]

 [LINE-COUNT number_of_lines[(number_of_footer_lines)]]

 [MESSAGE-ID message_class]

 [DEFINING DATABASE logical_database].

You use this statement to introduce a report. You can use the optional additions to define some characteristics of the report. Use NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING to switch off output of the standard page header. Use the LINE-SIZE addition to define the list width in characters. The maximum number of characters is 255. If you do not use this addition, the system uses the current window size, when it runs the report, to define the page width. In some cases this can affect the list’s structure! You use LINE-COUNT to specify the page length and the area to be reserved for any footers. The default value for footers is 0. If you also do not define the page length, the NEW-PAGE command is the only way of triggering page breaks. If you want the system to output messages in the report, you can use MESSAGE-ID to set the name of the message class that is required for the simplified form of the MESSAGE command. You only need to use the DEFINING DATABASE addition in the access programs of a logical database. As these programs are generated automatically, you do not usually have to program this addition manually.

Maximum line size is 1023 and you can only print upto 255 characters.

for more information on print parameters you can referr the following link it will help you

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/9f/dba56d35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9f/dba50d35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm

***********please reward points if the information is helpful to you**************

... LINE-SIZE col

Effect

Formats the new page with the number of columns specified in col, except in the case of LINE-SIZE = 0 which indicates line length set by the system according to the standard window width.

The addition ... LINE-SIZE col is only effective on the new page if it is also the first page of a new list level.

Note

The addition works only before initialization of the new list level (with WRITE, SKIP, ...).

For the default setting use the addition ... LINE-SIZE in the REPORT statement.

The maximum line length is 1023. You should keep list width to the miniumum possible. This improves useability and performance, and makes the list easier to print (recommendation: LINE-SIZE < 132). For very wide (LINE-SIZE > 255) lists, see the notes for using LINE-SIZE greater than 255.

Regards,

SaiRam
