Cusromizing a ALV report.

Hi experts,

i have customized a report(MB5B) in which i have added material group as select -option in selection screen.now i have wite validations for material group and material number.the condition is for a range of material number i have to check whether range of material number is exists in range of material group or not .if material number exists in material group thn it should o/p else it should display a error message in selection screen.can ny one help me in this issue.

Here both material group and material number are select-options.

Select MATNR

MATKL

from mara

into table i_mara

where matnr in s_matnr

and matkl in s_matkl.

if sy-subrc ne 0.

message 'No data found!' type 'E'.

endif.
