clearing a field

hi friends,

i have a scenario , where in ,

incoming input_idoc_orders05 is automatically converted into sales order through va02,

idoc is passing batch number into sales order created, i found out through we19 that one segment in the idoc has this batch number and that is being straight away carried into sales order,

my problem is to suppress or clear this batch number in incoming idoc,

can someone help me doing this,

Hi Saritha,

In the corresponding customer-function of IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS you can manipulate the data passed on by IDOC segments to SAP program variables. IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS-> Form INTERPRET_IDOC_ORDERS and look for the segment that has this infor. I presume it is E1EDP19, then subsequent to the MOVE statement, you would have a customer function where you have to code to clear the field values passed on by E1EDP19.

Hi,

I think what you can do is to find an enhancement(include) which gets trigerred when the idoc gets posted.In that write a code to modify the segment containing the batch number to space.

You can try exit EXIT_SAPLEINM_002 include ZXM06U02and try to write a code there to clear the batch number.
